The new service is being brought to market by HP Information Security, a newly-formed group within Hewlett-Packard (HP) that brings together the expertise of information security specialist Vistorm (an HP company) with the innovation and services expertise from HP to provide customers with a fresh approach to security that will “effectively and measurably” reduce their risk.
The service combines the proprietary tools and intellectual property developed by Vistorm with HP Labs’ expertise in security research.
This combination allows HP to provide a packaged consultancy offering with repeatable, short-term engagements to address security management challenges.
The package addresses the two key areas of vulnerability and threat management and identity and access management.

HP’s security analytics package enables businesses to make more informed security decisions and demonstrate to key Stakeholders the importance of information security to the success of their business.
