The latter is an internal HID Global quality programme that provides a comprehensive, structured process for responding to vulnerability reports and defining appropriate actions which may be required to mitigate potential security risks and inform customers.

Industry-leading software companies provide similar reporting mechanisms, but the HID Global Product Security Center is believed to be the first of its kind in the physical access control industry.
