• The striking Titan 200 from Conway Security Products – Bench Tested in our May edition – marks a significant departure from traditional dome camera design.
• The camera unit sits behind an optically flat 4.4mm laminated glass protective window. Fitted with a Sony ExWave camera module with an 18x optical zoom and 12x electronic zoom, resolution is 470 lines with low light sensitivity down to 0.01 lux (0.25 sec slow shutter). Low light performance is also augmented by a switchable black and white ‘Night’ mode.
• The construction is metallic, either aluminium or stainless steel. The double seals allow operation in harsh environments and a wiper option is available to ensure the screen remains clean.
• The Titan 200 can reach any position on a 360-degree pan circle within one second. The optical pan sensors ensure accuracy of pre-sets recall. They also prove superior to standard potentiometers in terms of lifespan. Add to this the ability to store 75 pre-set positions, 30 tours of 30 steps, privacy zones and pan sector identification and it becomes a fact that the whole unit can be connected up using just seven wires.

• Ideal size
• A day/night camera, fully compatible with the range of Pecan CCTV cameras and components, is now available from Stortech Electronics. Designed to deliver simple, cost-effective integration and upgrading with existing Pecan systems, the miniature camera is said to give superior performance in variable light conditions. The VPC 795 DN PCB camera is suitable for mini-dome, covert surveillance and specialist applications.
• Its 42 x 4mm size makes it ‘ideal’ for size critical installations, says the company. It incorporates a miniature automatic IR cut filter resulting in colour images in daylight and automatically switches to mono when illumination drops, down to a minimum of 0.01 lux.
• It is fitted with a Sony Ex-View CCD chip providing digital zoom up to four times original size.

• Eco detector
• System Sensor Europe’s ECO1000 smoke detectors consist of a photoelectric detector, a combined photo-thermal unit and fixed and rate-of-rise thermal detectors.
• The detectors have automatic drift compensation, allowing them to offset changes in sensitivity arising from the build-up of dust. They also use on-board digital signal processing and a new optical chamber design which increases stability. The unit can be laser-tested remotely.
• The combined photoelectric and thermal characteristics reduce the risk of unwanted alarms. All models operate at 12 and 24v DC and meet EN54 parts 5 and 7 standards.
