Paul – who is the key accounts director at ISS Pegasus Security) and Ben (our management accountant) were there to cement the company’s sponsorship of the team as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility policy.
For his part, Paul was also there to cheer on Rob Walker and Richie Townsend who are both ISS Pegasus Security officers presently working at The Watergardens development in Harlow.
We have held the security contract at The Watergardens since 2003, and have built a strong working relationship with the local police.
We supported the match through sponsoring the football kit. While that kit looked great, it’s pretty fair to say that on the day some of the players weren’t exactly in Premiership form! On the plus side, it did mean that our logo appeared to be much larger than normal!
Referees come out to play
The opposition team consisted of local qualified referees who thought they were at Wembley and put up a strong fight in what turned out to be a goal-packed game. Being as competitive as always, Paul and Ben were delighted to cheer the team on to an 8-7 win.
An exciting encounter had its fair share of penalties and bookings, and was played in good spirit.
Paul told me: “This was an ideal opportunity to strengthen our relationship with the local police and bolster relations in terms of The Watergardens contract. Both Rob and Richie are fantastic members of the team who always go the extra mile. It seemed like the ideal chance to support the local community for a great cause, so that’s what we did.”
Raising money for St Clare’s Hospice
A magnificent total of GB pound 4,300 was raised for the local charity St Clare’s Hospice.
St Clare’s Hospice has been established for over 18 years, providing specialist care to thousands of people with terminal illness in the local community.
