State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Johnstone joins Pilgrims Group

Previously from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, where over the course of 14 years she has covered a range of global issues of interest to the UK Government, Johnstone was most recently posted to the British High Commission in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Johnstone’s experience provides Pilgrims’ clients access to an in depth knowledge of the country and surrounding region, combined with prior experience of the Near and Middle East gained from her time in the UK Government’s Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre.

She brings expertise from working with many UK and foreign Government organisations and has developed her skills whilst working in hostile environments.

Johnstone has been responsible for the production and quality control of security reports during her time in the FCO and is experienced in information security and training.

Johnstone said: “With the rapid growth of global business, especially in Iraq, Afghanistan, UK and Africa, it is an exciting time to join Pilgrims.

“”I’m delighted to join such a respected company and the role offers me the chance to add value with the provision of quality intelligence products for our clients.”

“Pilgrims offers me the opportunity to use my expertise in the production of quality reporting, tailored specifically to the client. The role is very client facing, I find that energising and am looking forward to the challenge of delivering superior products and advice to a demanding clientele.”

Johnstone has a degree in History from Leeds University, a Civil Service Consultancy Practice diploma, and was trained in analyst studies at Kings College London.

“Jane brings valuable experience and perspective to Pilgrims’ growing I&I function, as well as to the wider company and our clients,” said Pilgrims’ managing director Bill Freear.
