London to host 2012 ASIS European Security Conference and Exhibition
Following on from what was undoubtedly a hugely successful tenth European Security Conference and Exhibition in Vienna earlier this month, the 2012 Conference and Exhibition is scheduled to begin on Sunday 15 April with the President’s Reception.
Over the following two days of conference, delegates will be able to attend 33 high-level educational sessions divided across three parallel tracks.
In addition, the conference will feature several keynote presentations.
The eleventh ASIS European Security Conference and Exhibition is also promising to include:
- sessions on certification, convergence and standards;
- sessions for Chief Security Officers (CSOs) organised by the CSO Roundtable of ASIS International
- an enlarged exhibition featuring the latest in security technology and services
- unrivalled networking opportunities at the President’s Reception, business lunches and networking breaks
Call for presentations
Security solutions providers seeking opportunities to gain exposure and to raise the visibility of their brand, products or services should contact the EMEA office of ASIS International for further information on exhibiting, sponsorship packages and sponsored speaking slots.
The call for presentations for the 2012 conference will open by the beginning of May.
Speaking about conference coming to the capital, Mike Alexander – ASIS UK Chapter chairman and head of business security and safety at City-based Henderson Global Investors – told SMT Online: “We’re delighted about this announcement, and we’ll be endeavouring to attract the biggest possible audience to the event.”
Alexander is looking at an audience of 500-plus senior practitioners from the security and law enforcement communities to be involved.
“This really is an excellent opportunity for us to engage great speakers and include key individuals such as the Lord Mayor of London and some members from the Olympic fraternity. Of course the subject matter will be global security, but we’ll also be keen to focus on London and the 2012 Games with input from senior police officers.”
Alexander has just been confirmed as a visiting professor for the London Metropolitan University. He’ll now be offering his advice to students studying for MBAs, MSc degrees and PhDs where security is a key part of their learning environment.
