Manager quits the SSAIB

Armstrong was a key player in the merging of the AISC and the SSAIB inspectorates last summer. As Business Development Manager, he was responsible for developing and implementing the QA management procedures that contribute to the foundation of the merged inspectorates’ operational procedures, and creating the new image and support material for the launch of the new SSAIB.
Under his management the AISC grew from strength to strength during the 90s, inspecting many companies that ranged from one-man companies up to national operators. In a statement the SSAIB said: "His decision to leave will be a disappointment to many individuals and companies within the industry that had benefited from his efforts on their behalf. The SSAIB are disappointed to be losing his valuable contribution, Rob is a highly skilled and respected manager who has a lot to offer. He felt that the constraints under which inspectorates must operate restricted the levels of support he wanted to offer".
