Massive pallet yard fire spreads into scrapyard
A serious blaze that spread through a pallet yard took firefighters more than six hours to get under control.
A total of 12 appliances went to UK Industrial Pallets, in Hertfordshire, on 14 January after a fire broke out in the yard.
The blaze, which started around 10 pm, spread to a nearby scrapyard, where it ruptured gas cylinders. Local train station Welham Green was forced to close for around four hours.
The cause is thought to have been accidental.
