A fire-rated, low-energy recessed downlight has been launched by JCC Lighting as a new addition to its Fireguard range. Fireguard Low Energy employs an 11W compact fluorescent lamp, enabling it to provide energy-efficient lighting in the same small package as halogen fittings.
The 50mm fluorescent lamp is the key to this product’s energy-saving properties. Using the latest in CFL lamp technology, the output from the miniature fluorescent tube is enhanced by an integral reflector, and the light output is softened by a diffusing front lens.
Like all Fireguard products, Low Energy complies on 30, 60 and 90 minute ceilings, and doesn’t require firehoods. There is a variety of finishes available, including white, chrome, brushed nickel and brass, enabling it to tone in with any style of interior.
