Multi-sensor detector and video controller added to range

[

Siemens says that improvements to its Sinteso fire protection product line will increase safety and lower operating costs. Additions to the line include a multisensor detector for carbon monoxide and a video fire controller, which automatically records images of a fire event.

The latest multisensor model in the S-LINE range, the FDOOTC241, is equipped with two optical sensors, two heat sensors and one electrochemical gas sensor.  Any fire characteristics that arise, such as smoke, heat or carbon monoxide (CO), will be detected by the sensors, linked with one another in a suitable manner and analysed allowing for appropriate action to be taken.

The video fire controller is triggered by the panel in the event of a fire, allowing the transmission of live pictures for fire verification purposes. The system will also prevent tampering with cameras, with the alarm being triggered should someone attempt to cover or manipulate the camera.

Siemens states that there are now over one million Sinteso detectors currently installed since the product line was introduced three years ago. The C-Line of detectors are designed for standard facilities (offices, shopping centres, hotels) while the S-Line is designed for challenging environmental conditions.
