A new fire safety system for the All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon has been installed by Powerpoint Electronics, a Notifier engineered systems distributor.
The system covers the new museum and administrative centre. The museum, due to open next month, offers visitors visual and interactive displays, as well historic exhibits and memorabilia.
The fire safety system is based on an ID3000 intelligent eight-loop fire alarm panel, providing level 1 protection. It was integrated with an existing Notifier intelligent fire system platform, which protects the other areas of the Wimbledon complex.
The control panels are networked over 2.5km of fibre optic cabling using the company’s ID2net transmission system, which transmits an alarm across the network in under half a second. The modular UniNet-ID provides monitoring and control via a simple graphical user interface.
