Norphonic launches dedicated OEM alliance programme
The aim of the programme is to allow greater interoperability between disparate security and communications technologies, in turn giving end users the ability to create optimised solutions for risk reduction within their own organisations.
Potential co-operation could include access control or integration with other IP technologies such as IP remote CCTV systems or even tailored communication platforms for mining, defence, roadside or rail applications.
The OEM programme recognises the strategic value of partners’ products and enables greater integration between technologies. This is achieved by creating a formalised relationship between Norphonic and these manufacturers, in turn providing a host of benefits.
Those benefits include the opportunity for joint demand generation, inclusion in large communication deployments, the ability to influence Norphonic’s product development to provide competitive advantage, the creation of partner solution guides, joint marketing participation at strategic events and various other advantages.
Stronger strategic value proposition
Thomas Lyngtun Hansen, technical director at Norphonic, commented: “One of our key goals is to manage the increasing number of requests we receive from manufacturers wanting to integrate their products with our own solutions. Many of them have recognised that, together with their own security applications, tight integration with Norphonic provides an increased available market with a stronger strategic value proposition.”
Lyngtun Hansen continued: “It allows them access to enterprise-wide security markets, including mining, roadside, rail and other critical infrastructure opportunities. With the flexibility of the Norphonic VoIP communication solution, they appreciate the value of integrating voice, data and audio to create a truly unified communications platform, which in turn allows tightly coupled security operations.”
In conclusion, he said: “We value the investment these manufacturers are making in identifying customer requirements and enhancing these with added features and functionally gained by the integration with our products. At Norphonic, we are committed to delivering the enhanced capabilities of their solutions within IP telephony, and have therefore taken the step to create an ‘open’ methodology that improves the integration process.”
