Rothin Bhattacharya appointed CEO of HCL Security
HCL Security Ltd, a subsidiary of HCL Infosystems, today announced the appointment of Rothin Bhattacharya as its new chief executive officer (CEO), according to news agency PTI.
Bhattacharya, a senior business leader, comes with over 24 years of management experience.
Earlier, he worked with organizations such as Siemens and KPMG and has business planning, facilitation, analysis, interpersonal skills and a record of organization-building capabilities.
He has also been a member of the “National Steering Committee on Information Technology” constituted by the Government of India to advise it on the development of IT in the country.
“HCL Security provides a set of customized solutions that leverages technology to build an Integrated Security framework for government organizations, infrastructure projects and business organizations,” Bhattacharya said.
He added that HCL brings good knowledge in hardware technology and over eight years of domain experience in security and surveillance to design, deploy and support integrated solutions in this field.
“We have tie-ups with the leading global security firms. Our understanding and experiences of integrating technology has helped us deliver security solutions to many organizations in the country. We are keen to take our services to the global market,” added Bhattacharya .
HCL Security is part of the $5-billion HCL group and is focusing on the key verticals of homeland security (like city security, border security and coastal security), critical infrastructure (airports, ports, and oil pipelines), and enterprise security.
