Severe weather “highlights benefits of remote monitoring”

With large portions of the country covered in snow and some areas still inaccessible, many premises are being left unsecured for large periods of time because security guards have not been able to travel to and from locations, the remote monitoring company said.

“One of the many beauties of remote monitoring, and its associated services, is that it is not governed or hampered by the weather. In fact, all of Visual’s services are provided from their purpose-built secure control room in Cheshire.

“With a portfolio which includes everything from CCTV, alarm monitoring, through to vehicle tracking and access control, Visual staff can secure and manage premises across the UK from the safety of their British Standard facility,” Visual Verification said.

Sales manager, Chris Connors, said he had spoken to business that had their sites unprotected during last week’s snow.

“We have heard from some current clients who still have manned guarding on their other premises, that their sites have been left uncovered over the recent bad spell for a variety of reasons,” he said.

“This is obviously not acceptable to them and has made them look for alternatives. When you couple this with the rising costs of manned guards, clients see it as an easy decision to replace the guards with a remotely monitored CCTV system.”
