SG Systems UK appoints Fordham and Oles to national account and marketing manager roles

Fordham boasts an extensive knowledge of the security industry having spent many years working in both end user installation/design teams, as well as in technical sales with the likes of G4S, Norbain and Sensormatic.

As a graduate in marketing, Human Resources and economics, Patricia Oles has since spent several years in the retail and customer service sector and is now ideally placed to focus on the continued growth and development of SG Systems’ marketing and its various upcoming campaigns.

SG Systems UK is a market-leading provider of anti-theft solutions and customer activity data marketing, and indeed has just introduced its large economy safer boxes which are a perfect solution for products that require enhanced protection.

These highly-resistant polycarbonate shells provide maximum product visibility combined with enhanced protection for a wide range of items (including computer games, batteries, ink cartridges and shavers, etc).

The large safer boxes are available in several different shapes and sizes. EAS tag integration and an opening operation is via a standard detacher, allowing a fast and efficient Point-of-Sale procedure.

Commenting on the launch, Patricia Oles told SMT Online: “In order to meet our customers’ demands, we’re delighted to offer these bigger safer boxes which help to protect large and small items in a cost-effective way. They will help control shrinkage due to theft.”

Do you want to stop bottle drinks theft?

In addition, the company has introduced Drinkspector, a new and sophisticated anti-theft solution that’s designed to protect bottled beverages “more efficiently than any other security method”.

The system is compatible with almost all EAS tagging technologies and developed to be a universal tool that will protect bottles of practically all shapes and sizes.

Statistical data shows that losses due to bottled beverage theft has realised the highest percentage of total stock shortage in the relevant retail sectors. This is due to the fact that so-called ‘amateur thieves’ tend to go for daily consumer goods while the professionals target the more expensive products that can be easily resold (among them quality beverages and spirits).

Oles commented: “We believe that Drinkspector is the safest and most universal bottle tag on the market, providing a rapid return on investment while also guaranteeing safe merchandising without compromise to losses and presentation space.”

Is your display cabinet merchandise ‘walking’?

SG Systems UK has also recently launched its entry-level, standalone cabinet alarm (a retail security product that can provide best protection and “operational ease” when it comes to locked displays).

The cabinet alarm is described as “a highly flexible security product” that can cover up to two doors and easily adapt to a wide range of display arrangements. It’s simple to install, and can be set up without any specialist skills on the part of the user.

With its anti-tamper control, RG11 wiring and plugs the cabinet alarm may be set via a coded remote control as well as via its automatic ‘door closure’ facility.

Alarm indication is via both a loud sounder and flashing LED lights, providing a clear indication to staff and potential thieves alike.
