The national training organisation won GB pound 1.3 million of European ADAPT funding last year to develop the interactive CD Rom learning packages.
Four courses are available with a further three still under development. The four courses – The Professional Security Officer (comprising 8 CD Rom modules), The Advanced Security Officer (5 modules), EN standard for Intruder Alarms and Cash-in-Transit – have all been encrypted and are password-protected. This enables students to log on and off while learning at their own pace.
Xebec McGraw-Hill has donated GB pound 100,000 towards the project, while providing technical support.
