A loss prevention software package developed by Ren Business Software is saving high street chain store Superdrug tens of thousands of pounds.
Hugh Ferridge, the chain’s head of loss prevention, wanted a package that could manage numerous incidents of theft being reported from the company’s 700+ outlets.
"We didn’t want to simply log the information, though," said Ferridge. "We wanted to be able to use it to provide intelligent identification of the major problem areas as well."
In-depth analysis of each store was also needed so that analyses could be conducted between store types, locations and products.
Post-installation, Superdrug has been able to improve camera placement. The company’s contracted security teams can define their own search patterns. In the high risk stores, repeat claimants on health and safety-related issues can be identified.
