Tunstall works with Stanley Security to develop integrated solutions for residents in supported housing
Having worked successfully with Tunstall for a number of years, supplying secure access control solutions to their partners and customers in the social housing sector, Stanley Security saw the benefits of further enhancing the working relationship by using Tunstall’s expertise and industry knowledge to develop security systems specifically designed for those with long-term needs and disabilities.
Together they offer a range of secure access control and door entry solutions, which are designed to be robust, easy to use and low maintenance, to provide additional security to supported housing scheme tenants.
Malcolm Rose, european marketing manager for Stanley Security Solutions, said: “Tunstall fully understands our capabilities as a security provider and the benefits our solutions deliver to tenants living in grouped housing.
“We are now looking to develop our secure access control offering so that residents with long-term needs and disabilities living in supported housing schemes can also benefit from the security and peace of mind our systems bring.
“Tunstall’s technical expertise in developing solutions for this market is vital in helping us further enhance our solutions, whilst their vast experience in marketing and supplying solutions to the social housing sector will really help drive opportunities for us in this marketplace.”
Riverside work
Tunstall’s previous work with Stanley Security includes the deployment of access control systems at The Riverside Group.
Riverside has a long established and successful relationship with Tunstall and with anti-social behaviour becoming a major issue in grouped housing environments across the UK, they turned to Tunstall for advice on access control solutions available to improve the quality of life for its tenants in Peckham.
Following a site survey, Tunstall recommended installing both vehicle and pedestrian gates in combination with a PAC access control system.
Each tenant has now been issued with a discreet fob, which allows them access through any of the gates; however the scheme is secure and inaccessible to anyone without a fob.
Incidents of anti-social behaviour have been eradicated since the installation of the PAC system at Riverside, and tenants can now arrive home without fear of intimidation or harassment.
Tony Walker, housing manager for Tunstall, said: “We have always enjoyed a strong and productive relationship with Stanley Security and have successfully worked together for a number of years helping grouped housing residents feel more secure in their living environments.
“We are always looking for opportunities to take innovations to the next level to improve the lives of those needing additional support, and by offering our expertise in the social housing sector, we can offer the company invaluable support.”
