The website is the UK’s No1 dating site for uniformed professions and those looking for a date in uniform – and this includes security professionals (and those I4S readers who prefer a man or woman in uniform).
The site’s marketing manager, Clare Young, said: “Uniform Dating brings together all those working in professions such as the police service, the armed forces, the navy, security, the medical sector, the prison service, air crew and fire fighters for friendship, love and romance.”
Young added: “The site encourages new members who are not necessarily from these professions but who are looking to meet someone from the uniformed or emergency services.”
Benefits of uniform dating
Young explained that the site was initially a “uniform-to-uniform” proposition. “As it started to gain exposure through the national press, more and more civilians began to join the site because they saw the benefits of dating someone in uniform”.
Uniform Dating has now grown in size and opened membership to everyone. It has also announced that 22-year-old Lance Corporal Katrina Hodge, the recently crowned Miss England, is the new face of Uniformdating.com
Hodge is a soldier in the British Army, and has been granted six months leave of her army work to perform her Miss England duties. She sensationally won the Miss England crown after the original winner, Rachel Christie, stepped down.
