Dubbed the V960, the new line of true day/night cameras have been made available in block, indoor dome, outdoor dome and bullet housings with a variety of lens and resolution options.
They have removable IR-cut filters, as well as a P-iris designed to precisely optimise the balance between lighting and depth-of-field.
PoE and remote capabilities
The cameras transmit H.264 compression with dual streaming, and up to nine secondary streams in H.264 or Mjpeg and vary in resolution, frame rate and image quality.
Speaking about the line, which can be remotely operated with power-over-Ethernet, said Mark Provinsal, who works in marketing at Vicon, said: “With the introduction of the V960 line, Vicon is pleased to offer cost-effective HD cameras that may be used industry-wide, both with Vicon and third-party video management solutions.
“The ability to remotely adjust the field of view as well as the focus provides measurable cost savings to our installers.”
