Whitepaper: Enhancing security, resilience and efficiency across a range of industries

VIS merges with Vision Warehouse

Formed in 1994, Video Imaging Supplies, incorporating the ethernetcctv.com brand, was purchased by Norbain SD in December 2001.
With a turnover approaching GB pound 5m annually, Video Imaging Supplies distributes CCTV and specialist video products to the security installation, video networks and industrial vision markets. The company has expertise in the fast emerging IP (Internet Protocol) sector of the industry.
Video Imaging Supplies is an authorised distributor for all leading IP brands including Axis Communications, Baxall, JVC Professional, Indigo Vision and Sony.
With a turnover of GB pound 2.7m annually, Vision Warehouse is focused on the sale of specialist video and imaging products for non-security applications. Vision Warehouse’s product range is used in a wide variety of industrial, medical, media and sport environments such as robotics, quality control, thermal imaging, microscopy, endoscopy, film and broadcasting.
Following the merger, both divisions will now operate out of Norbain SD’s Winnersh offices, outside Reading, UK.
Announcing the merger, Dermot Grace, Managing Director of Norbain SD said the merger “increases the inherent strengths of these divisions”.
The new merged division was now capable of supplying the full range of CCTV and access control, in both security and non-security environments across the combined customer base of the previously separate divisions.
He said that by centralising both operations in Reading, Video Imaging Supplies would be able to deliver much higher levels of customer service and support … “for instance, by making full use of our industry-leading demonstration and training facilities.
“Going forward, we see Video Imaging Supplies rapidly growing in stature and performance throughout every sales area but in particular through its pre-eminence in the IP sector of our industry.”
