Associated British Ports (ABP) recently selected Leeds-based White Group to supply and project manage the installation of a fully-integrated security system for a new 26-acre site leased by a major international car manufacturer.
Linked by an under-road culvert to an existing 61-acre site, the new area plays host to no less than 200 vehicles, thus site manager and operator GB Terminals required state-of-the-art systems.
The installed CCTV set-up consists of 13 functional and two fixed cameras, fibre optic networks, Synectics controls, multiplex recording and a purpose-built control room. A bespoke access control system and perimeter protection has also been installed.
