State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

WebWay has products approved to LPS1277 Issue 3

Today is the first step on the path to a new, secure signalling future.

WebWay is the first alarm transmission system service provider to have its products approved by the LPCB (the Loss Prevention Certification Board), part of BRE Global Limited, to LPS1277 Issue 3 for intruder and fire alarm signalling.

LPS1277 Issue 3 is invaluable for all security system stake holders including insurers, consultants, installers, end user and alarm receiving centres.

LPCB has created the standard after extensive consultation with all security signalling stakeholders including the UK Insurance Industry. The certification converges all European and UK standards, providing the benchmark against which all signalling solutions can be measured irrespective of the network technology used.

The LPS standard specifies dual path reporting time to 3 minutes for Broadband/GPRS and 10 minutes for GPRS/PSTN. LPS reporting times reduce the time lag between failure and reporting found when specifying Grade 2/3 signalling with Grade 2/3 alarm systems from between 1 and 24 hours.

Higher standards are introduced for data security, Quality of Service, and substitution protection. Manufacturing and quality processes were certified to the Construction Products Directive (CPD).

Stringent testing
WebWay products were tested for operational performance, safety, environmental, shock, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Our ISO 9001 quality management system registration was reviewed and met the requirements of the LPCB’s rigorous Factory Production Control (FPC) inspection.

WebWay offers a complete suite of products for all signalling networks including IP, GPRS, and PSTN. The digital range includes IP/GPRS, IP/PSTN or IP only, and the GPRS range includes GPRS/PSTN (IP ready) and GPRS (IP ready). Every product includes the WebWay Multi-Network SIM with inclusive airtime for operation with all mobile networks.

WebWay adds security to managing alarm panels by transmitting all remote service data over our encrypted signalling system. Connection to the remote system can only be made via the WebWay service, removing the danger of unsolicited dial in access to the panel and call charges.

Installers can manage systems better using our real time Command Centre application giving immediate access to live diagnostics, performance graphs and alarm data all over our encrypted receiver network. All our partners are supported by our team of communications experts.
