Asia Pacific Police Force Awards Major Contract to Digital Barriers for TVI Surveillance Technology

TVI Surveillance Technology

Digital Barriers’ TVI surveillance technology has been chosen by one of the biggest police forces in the Asia Pacific region for a major multi-year vehicle upgrade project.

Competing against several other major players in the industry the company, which specialises in advance surveillance technologies, was selected based on a technical evaluation if its surveillance solution.

This year the project will create revenues of approximately £100,000 in revenues for the company and additional TVI sales from the project during the next financial year.

TVI was developed by Digital Barriers to overcome the challenges associated with streaming video and audio over limited or variable bandwidth networks – particularly wireless and cellular.

In contrast to standards-based alternatives the technology adapts video to the available bandwidth to prevent latency and break-up.

The use of TVI technology is widespread in more than 30 countries use and has been adopted by prominent defence and security organisations along with several cellular and satellite communication companies.

“Digital Barriers’ TVI technology continues to secure flagship customers around the world,” says Zak Doffman, CEO, Digital Barriers. “Today’s announcement demonstrates further traction for the adoption of TVI, with sales earlier this year into law enforcement agencies in the US, Asia Pacific, Mainland Europe and the Middle East.

“With this latest customer win, we beat strong competition from some of Asia’s leading multinational electronics firms, which is obviously a very strong validation of the differentiation of the technology,”
