Cento Celebrates 10 Years in Fire and Security Recruitment

The parent company of FireandSecurityJobs.com is celebrating 10 years in the recruitment business.

Cento, which also owns LiftandEscalatorJobs.com, marked the occasion by welcoming Nicky Morgan, the Conservative MP for Loughborough, to its head office in the same town.

In an industry striving to bridge a number of skills gaps – notably through CSL Dualcom’s 100 in 100 Apprenticeships scheme, which Cento is supporting – the recruitment firm’s role is a vital one.

Morgan presented a plaque to the owners and engaged them in discussion about the industry’s skills gaps and how the government can lend support through apprenticeship schemes.

Founded in 2005 Cento has grown steadily for a decade. Last year was a particularly successful year with the company posting a 42% growth in business and a 50% rise in staff numbers. The business, whose in-development specialist UK sales division will initially focus on the Midlands, expects further growth of 25% over the next 12 months and employee growth of 20%.

Cento, which also has a Glasgow office, offers the latest market information and advice to both prospective employers and candidates.

“Achieving ISO9001 and ISO27001 respectively have contributed to this growth as they are fantastic accolades, representing the word’s most recognised quality management standard, and demonstrating that the international security best practices are being implemented,” says Brett Ennals, Cento’s CEO.

Nicky Morgan MP call Cento’s decade in business “a great success story. This unique recruitment consultancy has found jobs for over 2,000 people in the past 10 years in the lift and escalators and fire and security sectors.

“After speaking with Cento, I’m now more aware of the skills shortages faced by these sectors and as a result would encourage companies to recruit apprentices and remind them the government is here is provide support.”
