The SOLVEIL™ Surveillance System is a solar-powered, wireless surveillance solution delivering energy-saving surveillance in outdoor environments.
Dave Tynan, vice president of global marketing and sales at the company behind the innovation, MicroPower Technologies, tells visitors to IFSEC 2015 what they can expect to see on stand C675.
IFSEC Global: Why is it so innovative? What does it do that no other product does?
Dave Tynan: The SOLVEIL solution is solar-powered and wireless, which means it can be deployed in a number of markets where wired solutions simply aren’t possible or cost-effective.
In addition, it has a unique zero-cable design that minimizes deployment time, reduces the complexity of installation and limits business disruption because there is no need for trenching.
IG: How did you have this idea?
DT: People and critical assets are often found in remote and difficult to reach locations, and securing and monitoring them should not be constrained by the lack of available infrastructure or limited budget.
In 2008, we founded MicroPower on the idea that wireless video surveillance could be cost effective, easy to deploy, secure and highly reliable.
Through innovative research and extensive development in a diverse set of security applications, MicroPower pioneered a comprehensive platform that reduces camera power consumption by 90 percent and eliminates the need for trenching.
IG: Which kind of customers will be interested in this product?
DT: MicroPower solutions are distributed globally in the commercial, government, retail, education, oil and gas, and energy markets.
The technology is especially well suited for remote or unoccupied sites, temporary surveillance applications and areas with difficult terrain.
MicroPower Technologies will be showcasing the SOLVEIL solution on stand C675 at IFSEC International 2015.
