New PerpetuityARC Training course aimed at non-security professionals

An online training course on essential security practices aimed at non-security personnel has been launched by PerpetuityARC Training.

The programme aims to provide them with a strong working knowledge of the fundamentals required to help safeguard an organisation, its people and its assets.

Participants can choose their own pace and path through the programme, which is suited to professionals in the facilities and HR fields or those for whom security is one of several responsibilities.

“There is not an area of business that security does not touch, meaning an organisation is only as strong as its weakest link.” David Gill, Linx International Group

“There is not an area of business that security does not touch, meaning an organisation is only as strong as its weakest link,” said David Gill, managing director of parent company Linx International Group.

“Increasingly, we have experienced a large upswing of interest in our courses from ‘non-security’ professionals, who are expected to make informed decisions that could have a direct impact on the security status of the organisation. The programme specifically caters for these demands, delivering the right amount of knowledge to be effective, without trying to make them fully-fledged security practitioners.”

The 12 modules are:

  • Security risk assessment
  • Security surveys
  • Perimeter security
  • Building security
  • Access management
  • Video surveillance systems
  • Security lighting
  • Protection against explosive devices
  • Procuring security and managing guarding
  • Cybersecurity
  • Crisis management and business continuity
  • Workplace investigations

The programme costs £295 incl VAT, with individual course modules available to purchase at £45 incl VAT.

A free 15-minute introductory webinar about the programme will be held on 21 May 2018 at 2pm.
