BRE Global/LPCB Attack Testing Zone

Watch: The security door that refuses to yield to a flurry of hammer blows

Watch a security door being put to the test by a hammer-wielding technician from the LPCB in the video below.

This gives a flavour of what visitors to IFSEC International, which takes place between 20-22 June at London ExCeL, can expect to see in the BRE Global/LPCB Attack Testing Zone, which will take place within Borders & Infrastructure Expo.

Live on the show floor, technicians from the LPCB will expose perimeter fencing, security doors, shutters and covers to attack from a variety of powerful hand-held tools that criminals might deploy. Non-approved products will be tested in demonstrations against LPCB-approved alternatives that have reached a minimum of LPS 1175 SR-3 compliance levels.

You can also speak directly to the manufacturers of the products being tested on their adjacent stands.

CLD Fencing Systems, which is unveiling a military-grade perimeter detection system, will be among the exhibitors putting their products to the test.

David Cerquella, MD of Gilgen Door Systems, which is putting its security shutters up for testing, said: “For the first time live LPCB test demonstrations are being made available to the public and we are delighted to give visitors to the show the opportunity to experience the strength of Gilgen high security shutters first hand. Visitors will gain an appreciation of the stringent nature of the LPCB test program conducted by experienced test engineers and the need for security shutters in today’s high threat environment to repel various forms of attack”.
