Taking place at London Hilton in Park Lane the ceremony – which was supported by IFSEC and FIREX International – recognised the achievements of the most innovative, reliable and cost-effective products, services and solutions spanning a wide range of fields across the fire and security industries.
Comedian Jimmy Carr entertained the audience at the plush central London venue after a speech from IFSEC and FIREX event director Gerry Dunphy.
Simon Banks also told the audience the latest about the apprentice scheme organised by CSL Dualcom, which Banks founded and for which he now serves as group managing director.
The Engineers of Tomorrow Competition, which saw young installers pit their skills against one another in a timed installation challenge, had joint winners, with Jack Baker and Harrison Cooke from Kings Security sharing the spoils with Carlos and Bobby Dhunay from Telcam Security Systems.
Sponsors included Xtralis, Magenta Security Services, SGC Facilities Management, Securitas, Axis Communications, Grosvenor Technology, Swift Fire & Security, Panasonic, Bolster Systems and Bosch.
Among the winners were Schneider Electric, who triumphed in the CCTV System of the Year category with their Pelco range, while Cornerstone took home the gong for Security Consultant of the year.
