Norbain supplies American Dynamics hybrid DVR
HDVR protects the end user’s analogue camera investment while they consider either transitioning to IP cameras or enjoying the benefits of a mixed security environment.
What’s more, HDVR also provides seamless integration and recording of both analogue and IP video surveillance cameras on an enterprise class chassis.
The powerful yet easy-to-operate client user interface installs on any standard computer running Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7, and can connect to multiple servers. Video from all HDVR systems may also be accessed with web browsers, mobile devices or via access to the Internet.
16 or 32 analogue inputs supported
Each HDVR server supports 16 or 32 analogue inputs and 8 IP inputs, which can be easily expanded to 64 IP cameras per server.
The hardware platform supports H.264 and MJPEG compression technology on all analogue channel: H.264, MJPEG, MPEG-4 on IP channels. RAID 5 models provide redundant storage capabilities.
“HDVR features a removable BNC panel, making it extremely easy to perform maintenance on the server without disrupting service,” explained Buzz Coates, Norbain’s product manager for CCTV. “You simply replace the front of the unit while keeping all the BNCs intact.”
