Axis Communications has launched an explosion-protected network camera certified with Class I, I/II/III, Division 1 and Zone 1, as well as ATEX and IECEx.
Enclosed in aluminium housing the fixed, box camera – model F101-A XF P1367 – is pitched at industrial plants and other hazardous environments where there’s a significant risk of explosions.
The housing is also a conspicuous red colour – unusual for surveillance cameras, which tend to come in discrete whites, greys and blacks – in order to make it a more visible deterrent to unauthorised intruders.
An i-CS lens means the camera can automatically set its focus and the field of view can be adjusted remotely. Lightfinder and WDR–Forensic Capture optimise images for forensic purposes, regardless of lighting conditions.
The camera is also lightweight, making it easier to install on high towers or on buildings generally. Axis Communications says the camera is easy to install and integrate and that PoE support makes it cost-effective.
Key features:
Certified for Class I/II/III, Division 1 and Zone 1
Certified for ATEX and IECEx
Cost-efficient installation with PoE
Remote zoom and focus with i-CS lens
5 MP resolution at 25/30 fps
