Artec launches ANPR software solution for the secure access control of vehicles

The Multieye ANPR Gate has been made with number plate recognition software and has been designed for exit control in front of barriers, car parks or the registration of supplier vehicles on company grounds.

There are various operation ranges for the software.

The standard version has been designed to monitor two lanes, with the option of expansion at any time, via extra licenses and up to eight cameras and/or lanes per server. It should recognise number plates from more than 40 countries, Artec said.

The software module also offers the integration of external devices for the opening of barriers, a trigger for traffic lights and alarm management. It has been built to support analog and IP cameras.

The gate has been based on Artec’s Multieye ANPR Traffic, which was designed for the monitoring of moving traffic and has been deployed in numerous projects within Europe since 2008.

“This new software module meets the increased interest of our customers for an easy to use and cost effective application for the access control of vehicles,” said Jens Riglstetter, who works in sales and marketing for the company.
