ASSA ABLOY is in the process of acquiring KEYper Systems, a US-based supplier of electronic and mechanical key management systems.KEYper Systems, which has built a strong presence in the automotive segment, will become a business unit of TRAKA, itself also a developer of key and asset management solutions. TRAKA was acquired by ASSA ABLOY in 2012 and is an operating unit of ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions.
Established in 1993, KEYper Systems operates from its HQ in Harrisburg, NC.
KEYper president and CEO Ric Stone will report to Justin Sasse, managing director of Traka.
“KEYper’s product range and expertise, especially in the US automotive and property management market segments, will complement Traka’s extensive product range and specialist solutions in key and asset management solutions globally,” said Sasse.

ASSA ABLOY has signed an agreement to make the acquisition. Providing legal preconditions are met it is expected to complete during the first quarter of 2019.
