In response to the recent global pandemic, Paxton has expanded its online installer training platform and launched a series of webinars.
The webinars are free to join, and the online training is now free to help installers while social restrictions are in place. The company says its approach is to remain supportive and productive, by providing its customers with the latest product training, technical advice and support.
With the business offering online installer training since 2005, it has seen numbers rising each year, and believes that free access to the learning portal during social distancing measures will support its installers and end users continue their CPD. Paxton’s face-to-face training has, of course, been put on pause during this period.
The online courses are designed to be informative and engaging, including how-to videos and interactive exercises. The training comprises bite-sized modules covering access control and door entry ranges, to give customers the flexibility to learn.
Global Training Manager, Steve Woodbridge, said: “Our online training program continues to expand, providing more content than ever before to engage our customers in self-paced training sessions. It means the installer will benefit from our 35 years of industry experience from wherever they are, whenever they choose.”
The courses currently cover a range of products including:
Paxton10, a single platform access & video system
Net2 software, an advanced PC based access control solution
Entry, a door entry system
PaxLock, the range of wireless access controls in a door handle.
The installer’s view
Andrew Speakman, Managing Director at AMS Electrical, Bolton has recently completed the online courses. Andrew said: “I particularly like the layout and bite size sections, as they are displayed clearly before you dive into a particular module, meaning if I have 20 minutes to spare I know which module I can get the most out of.”
In addition to the online training portal, Paxton is currently running two new webinars. In the first two weeks of launching the webinars, the company saw over 900 installers attend.
Bruce Beany, a Paxton installer from Voltson explained: “I really enjoyed the webinar – lots of info and food for thought – all questions posed were answered fully. If possible, more webinars please!”
Both webinars take place twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11.00am and 3.00pm. Details are below.
