Biometric credentials added to Inner Range access control solutions

Inner Range access control customers can now benefit from using biometric credentials, thanks to a new partnership with biometric technology company Zwipe.

The new partnership means Inner Range users can integrate fingerprint data to credentials and continue to use their existing card readers. The system can use Inner Range’s encrypted Sifer readers and only stores the biometric data on the card, rather than in a central database.

The new feature is one of several intelligent integrations the company will be demonstrating at a free integration showcase on 24 April at its European HQ near Reading, Berkshire.

Other integrators at the event include Morse Watchmans, who will be demonstrating how their key control system can integrate with Inner Range products to strengthen security and safety, restrict movement, improve reporting compliance and reduce damage and resulting lost productivity.

Stentofon will showcase its intercom solutions integrating with Inner Range products to enable clients to optimise their experience by providing interactive graphical representations, status and controls across multiple sites.

“Integration is at the heart of what we do,” said Tim Northwood, General Manager of Inner Range Europe (who we recently spoke to about the company’s plans for IFSEC). “Our products allow clients to control access to all manner of places, spaces, systems and products at local, national and even global levels.

“Our new partnership with Zwipe is the latest in a long and ever-increasing line of integrations to help our customers better control their buildings and systems, and streamline their processes.”
