British Security Tech Increasingly Popular in Asian Market: BSIA

BSIA award

IFSEC shows its appreciation to the BSIA for its unstinting support

British manufacturers have found willing audiences at IFSEC Southeast Asia, which draws to a close tomorrow, the BSIA reports.

BSIA members have reported an upsurge in demand in the Southeast Asian region over the past 12 months, a survey by the association has revealed. UK exporters have been successful in winning tenders at critical national infrastructure providers, among other prestigious contracts.

Members exhibiting at IFSEC Southeast Asia, which is taking place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 3-5 September, include GJD Manufacturing Ltd, Metham Aviation Design Ltd and TDSi Ltd.

GJD is launching the Harper Chalice’s FenceSecure™ electronic perimeter intrusion detection systems, the latest addition to a stable including external PIR and Dual-Tech motion detectors.

After launching at IFSEC International in June TDSi Ltd’s latest reader range is being showcased again in Kuala Lumpur. The Dorset-based company’s MIFARE CSN (Chip Serial Number) and proximity readers now blend inconspicuously with modern architecture.

“Readers are an essential part of most secure access control systems, so we have been extensively talking to our customers, end-users and partners to ascertain what would best suit the needs of the real world,” said TDSi MD John Davies. “As well as using the latest technology, the feedback we received revealed that often more basic elements, such as the shape/size of the reader [are important].”

Attracting 8,000 buyers and decision makers from across the industry IFSEC Southeast Asia has proven fertile ground for finding new suppliers, launching or testing the latest cutting-edge security technology and for networking opportunities.

Anyone attending IFSEC Southeast Asia on its final day tomorrow can find the BSIA Export Council on stand UK16.
