ASFP to hold seminar on building safety

The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) is holding a seminar in London on Monday 5 September to examine the impact the Building Safety Act will have on fire professionals.

The event, which will run from 10am-3pm, will be held at the Aviva Building London, 1 Undershaft, London.

Bringing together keynote speakers from across Government and the fire industry, along with ASFP passive fire protection experts, the event will discuss the Building Safety Act and Competency Pathway – how they will affect you?

The seminar will focus on two key areas. Firstly it will consider the Building Safety Act and the implications of subsequent secondary legislation. The discussions will then move on to how competency requirements will be introduced and managed.

Topics will include the latest legislative changes, and amendments to product standards, including the creation of Safety Critical Product groups. It will then go on to explain the various ways in which passive fire protection professionals can demonstrate their competency.

The seminar offers the opportunity to network with industry professionals, ASFP Officers and members. Exhibitors will be on hand to discuss their products and services and answer your technical queries.

Places are limited and can be reserved now here.

The price is £75 plus VAT for ASFP members and £120 plus VAT for non-members.
