Honeywell has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Xtralis for $480 million.
The world’s largest manufacturer of very early warning aspirating smoke detection systems will become part of Honeywell Security and Fire in a deal which is expected to be completed in the second quarter, subject to regulatory approval.
Funds have been advised by Australasian private equity firm, Pacific Equity Partners, and the US private equity firm, Blum Capital Partners.
This is the latest example of consolidation in the security industry which has seen many high profile acquisitions over recent years.
