Gavin Jones leaves BRE Global to join risk and resilience consultancy BB7

Risk and resilience consultancy BB7 has appointed Gavin Jones, formerly of BRE Global, as its new chief operating officer.

Gavin is a chartered engineer with over 15 years’ experience in both fire and security risk management. His roles have spanned consulting in the built environment, assurance services and public administration.

At BRE Global Ltd, he launched, and was director of, the SABRE assessment and certification scheme for security and risk management in buildings, infrastructure and managed space.

Jones, who authored Embedded Security: Procuring an Effective Facility Protective Security Systemwas also instrumental in devising policy around crime prevention and counter-terror in the United Arab Emirates. He led fire safety engineering teams on the Louvre, Abu Dhabi and Battersea Power Station, among other landmark projects.

In his new role Jones will focus on executing BB7’s business plan and working with the board and senior leadership team.
