ASFP to host VR training experience and passive fire pavilion at FIREX

The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) will bring together several member companies within its Pavilion zone at FIREX next week, as well as introducing a Virtual Reality training experience at the show for the first time.

ASFP-FIREX-23Alongside finding member companies that represent a cross section of the passive fire protection sector, the Pavilion will also feature ASFP Pods, allowing some of its smaller member companies to have a presence at the UK’s leading fire safety exhibition, FIREX.

Visitors will be able to find out more about the ASFP’s range of training courses, guidance documents and membership services on stand FI224.

Virtual reality training – the ASFP Passive Fire Experience

Another new feature for this year is the ASFP Passive Fire Experience, the association’s Virtual Reality (VR) training facility.

It contains a 10-person Virtual Reality (VR) headset system, where visitors will get an opportunity to test out the new VR training courses and learn about passive fire protection in an exciting new way.

Experts will be on hand to answer all your passive fire protection queries, discuss the latest regulatory developments and explain how training courses can help you to demonstrate competency.

They will describe the association’s full range of courses, from classroom training to its e-learning platform, which enables learners to study towards the Institution of Fire Engineers Level 2 and Level 3 Certificates in PFP.

The ASFP Passive Fire Protection Pavilion will help visitors to gain a greater understanding of the essential role of passive fire protection within today’s built environment and offers easy access to advice, products, services and best practice in relation to ‘built-in’ fire protection.

It is ideal for all involved in construction, fire safety and building maintenance and management, including facilities managers, contractors, services installers, Responsible Persons and designers.

Meet the ASFP team, find out more about passive fire protection and test out the new VR training headsets at FIREX between 16-18 May at London’s ExCeL. Grab your free ticket in the link below!
