IFSEC 2016: Vanderbilt to Host ‘Innovation Talks’ on ARCs, SPC System and Building Automation

Vanderbilt will host a series of free-to-attend ‘innovation talks’ at IFSEC International 2016, which takes place 21-23 June at ExCeL, London.

Experts from the access control, intrusion detection, CCTV and integrated security management developer will share advice and insights on the industry’s most pressing issues with the help of guest speakers from technology partners.

Each presentation will last 20 minutes and take place on stand G1250, where delegates will also have the chance to get hands-on with the latest Vanderbilt technology. Vanderbilt specialists will happily field any questions from visitors and explain how the company is pioneering an innovative new approach to supply chain management and product provision.

John O’Donnell, product manager at Vanderbilt, will deliver two presentations. In the first he will consider integration and automation solutions for building automation and protocols, in particular the various applications that can interface with the SPC system, from building management systems (BMS) to home automation, and the benefits of protocols like BACnet, ModBUS and KNX.

His second presentation will explore the benefits of becoming a Vanderbilt integration partner, including features and benefits of the SPC system, not least revenue generating opportunities.

Stephen Smith, sales and marketing director at ISM UK, will examine various alarm management solutions for facilities and closed networks. Attendees will hear about how cutting-edge software can ally security with CCTV, intrusion and access control information and how operators can harness an advanced graphical user interface (GUI) to exploit the SPC system to its full potential.

Finally, Jason Williams, development director at Monitor Computer Systems, will discuss how state-of-the-art intrusion detection solutions are being integrated within central monitoring stations (CMS). He will cover the latest Internet protocol (IP) based alarm transmission and CMS software, which is aimed at alarm receiving centre (ARC) operators and installers involved in specifying suitable communication solutions for such environments.

Joe Grillo, CEO of Vanderbilt and IFSEC Global’s most influential person in security and fire for 2016, said: “Our innovation talks are just one of the ways in which we aim to make a visit to IFSEC International 2016 as useful as possible. We anticipate high demand for these free events, but as spaces are strictly limited I would advise booking early to avoid disappointment.”
