Whitepaper: Enhancing security, resilience and efficiency across a range of industries

IDIS product launches will be demonstrated by ‘Show Me How’ team at IFSEC

IDIS will be undertaking a series of Show Me How demonstrations on video surveillance at IFSEC and will be launching several new products at the show.

The team of product specialists will be on the IDIS stand from 19th – 21st June. To make them easy to spot they will all be wearing blue ‘Show Me How’ badges. Go up to the IDIS Show Me How team at any point and request a demo or ask any technical questions you may have.

Meet the team

Billy Hopkins

Despite his youthful looks and chipper demeanour, Billy is a 15-year veteran of the security industry.  Starting his career at Chubb and moving on to Samsung and Norbain, Billy joined IDIS in 2014. Today, he heads up IDIS UK’s technical team, responsible for the holistic pre and post sales technical support capability that customers revere. Admired for his exceptional surveillance know-how, Billy is a highly-skilled engineering professional and will leverage this expertise through practical demonstrations at IFSEC and show installers how they can increase their margins with IDIS technology.

Charlie Penning

Starting his career at Forward Vision CCTV over 15 years ago, Charlie’s wit and charm combined with his deep knowledge of IP surveillance has seen him support customers in successfully delivering hundreds of security implementations— on time and on budget.  Joining IDIS in 2015, Charlie had prior tenures at both Samsung and Bosch.  Charlie looks forward to sharing his expert knowledge with IFSEC visitors and in doing so will demonstrate exactly ‘Why It’s Not the Same. It’s IDIS.’

David Williams

The youngest and fittest of the IDIS ‘Show Me How’ team, Dave joined IDIS three years ago to quickly become popular with customers, partners and beyond. Previously holding positions at SECOM and Debenhams, Dave supports IDIS installers and distributors from pre-sales through to project delivery with his in-depth knowledge of surveillance and hands-on experience of security operations. Constantly in demand to deliver product demos, Dave looks forward to highlighting the latest IDIS innovations that deliver true value and tangible benefits to the entire security buying chain.

Products – new launches and existing range

Ths IDIS team will be showcasing:

  • IDIS DirectIP – End-to-end, zero configuration networked surveillance
  • IDIS VGA/HDMI Encoder – Integration of multiple applications all from a single monitor
  • IDIS Ruggedized Mobile NVRs – A complete surveillance solution for transportation
  • IDIS Smartphone Cam App – Enables your smartphone to become an integral part of your surveillance solution.

DirectIP is the IDIS flagship end-to-end IP surveillance offering that will include a range of new NVRs and cameras due to be launched at IFSEC. In addition to the demonstrations of existing products, the following new products will be launched at IFSEC: IDIS VGA/HDMI Encoder; IDIS Ruggedized Mobile NVRs; IDIS Smartphone Cam.

What you will learn

Visitors will be shown how to simply and quickly install an extensive line up of IP cameras and NVRs to build a complete IDIS DirectIP surveillance solution that is popular for its zero configuration and enhanced user experience.

IDIS staff will demonstrate the totally cost-free IDIS VMS, IDIS Center, which enables the implementation of centralised monitoring at up to 50% cheaper when compared to server-based systems.

The team will also show how DirectIP can increase installer’s margins and deliver an industry-leading low total cost of ownership for end users.

Other hands-on demonstrations available will focus on new, innovative and highly cost-effective solutions, such as the HE-1101 VGA/HDMI Video Encoder plus the world’s first ruggedized mobile NVRs built to deliver seamless and cost-effective recording in transportation environments.

When and where

IDIS ‘Show Me How’ demos will be available throughout IFSEC, although pre-booking a dedicate slot is highly recommended. The event takes place from 19th – 21st June at ExCel, London. Register here.

Show Me How badges across IFSEC

Show Me How is a new initiative for IFSEC International 2018. Wherever you see someone at IFSEC wearing a Show Me How badge, you can expect a technical explanation – not a sales pitch – of their product, so that you can gain a deeper understanding of the workings behind it – from how to install it, how to maintain it and what it can do. Show Me How Badges will be worn be technicians and enablers across all zones on the exhibition floor.

IDIS is showcasing this PTZ camera and its other video surveillance solutions at IFSEC International, 19-21 June 2018, ExCeL London. You can find IDIS on stand C140. Register now.
