BSIA to create ‘UK marketplace’ for all IFSEC shows around the world

IFSEC has announced that the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), the trade body representing the UK’s private security industry, will create a ‘UK marketplace’ for all global shows across the series.

Rachel Eaton, Event Manager of IFSEC International commented: “In working with the BSIA, we look forward to promoting and educating our partners on UK standards of excellence. We hope to give the wider security industry the chance to discuss their anxieties, widen their horizons and pose any burning questions they have – all the while celebrating UK quality and professionalism.”

The global security exhibition operates across London, Bangkok, Philippines, India and Kuala Lumpur. This new feature area is sure to strengthen the global portfolio’s existing demand, credibility and value.

The BSIA’s members are responsible for more than 70% of privately provided UK security products and services (by turnover) including the manufacture, distribution and installation of electronic and physical security equipment and the provision of security guarding and consultancy services.

“Our UK marketplace across these five regions will provide international visitors with a focal point to view the latest technology from UK brands renowned for quality, integrity and innovation.”  John MacAskill, head of membership & export, BSIA

For over 50 years, the BSIA has led the way in shaping the private security industry, and this partnership speaks volumes for IFSEC as the ultimate destination for every security professional.

In its evolution, IFSEC has offered further access to leading trade associations and governmental bodies. In its 2018 edition, IFSEC International was thrilled to announce its first Government Pavilion, which welcomed expert representatives from JSaRC, DiT, DSO and other bodies eager to guide security professionals through the changing landscape.

Rachel Eaton continued, “We were proud to give our visitors and exhibitors the opportunity to meet face to face with the governmental bodies shaping their legal guidelines. We’re excited to be able to extend a similar type of guidance to the global portfolio.”

John MacAskill, Head of Membership & Export, BSIA, said: “UK security companies enjoy an enviable global reputation for their expertise in producing innovative products and services, which meet stringent quality standards and are trusted by buyers around the world.

“Our UK marketplace across these five regions will provide international visitors with a focal point to view the latest technology from UK brands who are globally renowned for their quality, integrity and innovation.”
