Arecont Vision meets demand for AV NVR deployment on small-to-mid sized projects
AV NVR, the all-in-one network video recorder series developed by Arecont Vision, is now available for small-to-mid sized projects.
“Customers have increasingly requested that Arecont Vision provide them with a NVR platform for their small to mid-sized project requirements,” said Brad Donaldson, vice president of product development at Arecont Vision.
Available in eight or 16 channel modes, the AV NVR comes with a built-in PoE network switch, customer-replaceable hard drives and Arecont Vision’s GUI interface.

Set up is simplified with plug-and-play functionality like auto discover and auto configuration . Camera licences are included for complete all-in-one solutions and the company has developed a free mobile app for remote viewing and playback.
The AV NVR AV800 and AV1600 models offer H.264, H.265, and MJPEG compression, while the company’s SNAPstream (Smart Noise Adaptation and Processing) technology reduces bandwidth without impacting image quality.
For maximum video recording reliability, WD Purple Surveillance Hard Drives from Western Digital are included in with-drive configurations. For customers that want to install their own hard disk drives configurations are available within Arecont Vision’s recommendations.
“The AV800 could be configured any number of ways to support project requirements for single- and multi-sensor cameras,” said Donaldson. “For example, an AV800 could support four MicroDome® 5MP single-sensor cameras (4 channels), and a SurroundVideo® panoramic or Omni multi-sensor camera (4 channels), for a total count of 8 channels.
“Or six MegaDome® 3MP single-sensor cameras for 6 channels and two MegaView® 5MP single-sensor cameras for a final 2 channels. The AV1600 could be configured up to 16 channels in the same manner, using a variety of Arecont Vision camera choices.”
ONVIF type S cameras are also supported.
The AV NVR includes a 3-year Arecont Vision warranty.
The AV NVR joins the roster of products put through their paces in the Arecont Vision MegaLab integration, test, and support facility.
