Arecont Vision adds BIM tool to its A&E Partner Program for system design
Arecont Vision has added a BIM (building information modelling) tool to its A&E Partner Program, which helps architects, engineers and consultants deliver project specifications and system designs involving Arecont Vision cameras.
Developed by Autodesk, Revit gives members of the A&E Partner Program the ability to produce intelligent three-dimensional models of their systems or facilities.
Each Arecont Vision Revit family includes the camera’s geometry, lens and mounting options, field-of-view coverage shapes, specifications and ordering information.
The new Revit models can be downloaded free of charge through Arecont Vision’s A&E Partner Portal. The portal provides product specification documents, mechanical drawings, calculators and other design tools and resources.
“BIM models enhance the designer’s ability to articulate megapixel camera technology to clients before the system is installed or facility even built.” Laura Freeny, Arecont Vision
“BIM models enhance the security designer’s ability to articulate megapixel camera technology to their clients before the system is installed or the facility is even built,” said Laura Freeny, senior manager for strategic accounts at Arecont Vision.
“This is a very useful resource for our A&E Partner Program members, and Arecont Vision will continue to add and update available tools and support materials going forward.”
Revit models are now available for the following single-sensor Arecont Vision megapixel camera series:
