BSIA’s Export Council gains useful insight on security opportunities in Nigeria
In what was an excellent presentation, Mojisola outlined the various opportunities available for UK security industry companies in Nigeria, ranging from projects in the financial and construction industries through to the energy sector.
With the economy proving stronger when compared to this time last year, and the country experiencing a middle class consumer boom, Nigeria is a country that the security industry is now beginning to target.
Strong and emerging market
Paul Ramsay – the BSIA’s Export Council Section chairman – commented: “It was a pleasure to have Mojisola join our meeting. Her presentation was very well timed as Nigeria is developing as a strong emerging market, making this the ideal juncture for the security industry to consider exporting to the country in order to build lasting and fruitful relationships.”
Caroline Strickley, the BSIA’s export services executive, added: “Mojisola delivered an excellent and thorough presentation which provided valuable information for our Export Council. Several of our member organisations already export to Nigeria and, with the country’s export levels up by 41.7%, I’m sure it will be a market that more of our members will be considering in the future.”
