Reliance officers triumph in regional BSIA Awards
Teams and individuals won 15 awards – one third of all the awards available, and twice as many as any other security company.
Awards were achieved across seven different regions and in four categories including Best Use of Technology, Service to the Customer, Best Newcomer and Best Team. The winners will be presented with their awards at a special ceremony held in Stratford-upon-Avon on 26 February.
The BSIA Regional Winners from Reliance
In the BSIA London Region, the Deutsche Bank Team won the award for Best Use of Technology. Jonathan Masters took this award in the Midlands Region, the GSK Team did so in the North East and Emma Martin in Scotland. The South West Region Best Use of Technology accolade goes to Richard Hopwood Ford.
Ian Thompson scooped the BSIA North West Region Award for Service to the Customer, with John Dinsdale winning out in the North East.
Security officers Norman Trainor and Stewart Prow are the proud winners of the Outstanding Act regional award for the North East, while David Routledge took that region’s award for Best Newcomer. Jemima Stewart won out in the Outstanding Act Award for Scotland, with the South West’s Best Newcomer being Gerald Brannan. For Scotland, that honour goes to Jill Smith, in the Midlands it’s John Toogood and the Yorkshire winner is Mark Dunstan.
The HBoS Rosyth Team won the regional award for Best Team north of the border.
Record number of regional accolades
Commenting on the outstanding achievements of the Reliance officers, Peter Jones – Reliance Security Services’ chief operating officer, told SMT Online: “We’re extremely proud of all our people who have been recognised by the BSIA. This is the second time in three years that our officers have achieved a record number of awards. It’s a demonstration of their ongoing commitment to ‘going the extra mile’ for our customers.”
Jones concluded: “I would like to congratulate all our winners who thoroughly deserve these awards for their innovative use of technology, their passion for customer care and demonstrably excellent teamwork.”
