Driven by the security market’s demand for seamless integration, IP video management software company Milestone Systems and AEOS developer Nedap announced a strategic partnership at IFSEC 2016.
Both sides are committing to a ‘deep integration’ between the Milestone XProtect VMS and AEOS security management platform from Nedap.
Integration between security and other building systems has become ever more important as demand for smarter buildings grows. Open platform technology is fundamental in integrating Nedap access control with Milestone XProtect VMS, the two companies explained during my visit to their stand.
“The best of video management and access control will be combined into a solid, seamlessly integrated security solution,” said Sieger Volkers, MD of security managementa at Nedap. “We’re committed to developing a deep integration between our access control platform AEOS and XProtect, reducing delivery risks and complexity for our mutual partners.”
Thomas Lausten, Milestone vice president, said: “We want to push partnerships which is a different approach for further growth exponentially. This has led us to a number of companies where open platform communities can be developed. We see more and more overlap and are more than ever convinced that this is the right approach.”
