State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

IFSEC West Africa 2011: Axis Communications to showcase new thermal and IP cameras

Network video solutions company, Axis is to showcase an IP-based video surveillance product designed for small businesses.

The range of bundled “easy to install” digital video surveillance kits is intended to provide “complete and future-proof” IP-based video surveillance solution for small to medium sized businesses.

Featuring the Axis M, M10, M11 and the M32 Series, the digital video surveillance kits consist of four network cameras along with the Axis camera station software for monitoring and recording.

Perimeter surveillance with thermal imaging
Axis’s thermal network cameras will also be out on show. New cameras Q1921 and Q1921/-E have been designed for 24/7 area or perimeter surveillance in areas like roads, tunnels and airports.

A spokesman said: “Thermal cameras create images based on the heat that always radiates from any object, vehicle or person. This gives thermal cameras the power to see through complete darkness and deliver images that allow operators to detect and act on suspicious activity.

“Thermal cameras can also handle many difficult weather conditions better than conventional cameras, allowing operators to see through haze, dust and smoke.”

Compatibility with network video systems
Both cameras should mesh with any network video system, Axis said.

Its P3346 fixed dome network cameras will also be at the stand as part of the P33 Series. IFSEC West Africa runs from 15-16 February at the Eko Expo Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
