Euralarm has released its Annual Report for 2020-21, summarising its activity for the year and providing forecasts and plans for the future.
Though traditionally the report is released after the Euralarm General Assembly, which is not taking place until November this year due to COVID-19, it was decided to release the findings in May as usual. Each section and committee of the association has summarised its activities over the last year.
The report covers:
Mission statement and President’s and General Director’s Letter
Last year at a glance – strategy and new members
Reports from the sections – Security, Fire, Services, Extinguishing
Reports from committees – Horizontal Compliance, Advocacy Committee, Marketing Committee
2020 was an important year for Euralarm, as its team was extended to enable it to be more present and proactive when participating in projects and meetings from the Commission, CEN, CCMC and Orgalim. Euralarm plans to continue to expand its presence in those areas which are important for the members and ensure their voice is heard.
Last year has also been a year of many changes. ‘Online’ has become increasingly important, and the association believes this trend underlines how fast digitalisation and digital technologies can be converted into opportunities and challenges.
Since its foundation 50 years ago, Euralarm highlights it has been proactively contributing to standardisation processes, providing guidance in the digitalisation of our industry, raising the standards for training and qualifications to address society’s needs for safety and security and partnering with research institutes to turn emerging technologies into sustainable solutions based on knowledge and innovation.
Over the 2020-2021 period, Euralarm continued to grow its membership with Vanderbilt, Verisure, Kiwa and the Open Security & Safety Alliance (OSSA) joining as new members.
